Looks like you had a busy morning. The colour of that Osage Orange is something else. It reminds me of ash in grain looks. Is it quite open grained? I haven't turned any yet.

The whole schedule of rough turning is quite amusing (Easter for next next Christmas :o) ), the mad thing is it will probably come round fast. There just aren't enough hours in the week.

I wish I had been turning. I spent the weekend working on a project for work. Actually I did get to turn a 19" platter with a 12" pulley that goes with this project.

I'm trying to build a rotary turntable that will turn art work at about 6 rpm so we can make a digital movie for the artist to put on their website or CD. I got to use one of the Vega DC motors that Mark told us about. They now come with a mounting bracket and the wiring is really easy.
