I'm not sure exactly what kind of chair you are talking about but there are 3 books that always get me by. Make a Chair From a Tree by John Alexander
Green Woodworking a hands-on approach by Drew Langsner and Jack Hills Country Chair Making.
Jack Hill's book has the most plans. Drew Langsner and John Alexander teach you all the techniques you need to build a chair and there are a few plans in those books.
