Greatest buffing wheels

Several years ago,someone in our club showed us some buffing wheels that were the softest that anyone had ever seen. He bought them from a guy that was leaving the state and he failed to deliver on his promise for the source.
The brand name on the buffs is "Merard Cauillaudin". Searching on the web has provided their website in France, but there are links only in France and Italy. They have not responded to my many e-mails (in english).
Has anyone heard of these before, and know a dealer somewhere in the english speaking worls?
