This is a piece my freind Everett Elkins carved. He roughed out the grooves and then fine tuned and shaped them using a 1" sanding drum similar to the one I use for large flutes.

>Do you have a side view photo? I cannot tell if the carving is on the top of the rim or along the sides. It looks beautiful, nevertheless.

>It is sort of a platter with the grooves running at an angle across the outer edge. I will look and see if I have a side angle of the piece. I shot it in place in a show and don't remember if I shot individual shots. Everett Produces the most unique and beautiful pieces every month.
