>You can pick up the "hook" material for a buck at any fabric store and super glue it to the disk. Then any hook and loop sand paper will stick to it and you can easily cycle through all or any of the grits without distroying the sandpaper.

I prefer hook and loop also but a can of 3m super 77 spray works really well. You can also buy adhesive backed pads.

>The reason that hook and loop is a better system is due to the ability to reuse the sandpaper. With adhesive it is generally use once and throw away. With hook and loop you can pull off and save untill it is fully used up. It is also a lot faster to pull off and just stick on the next grit.

>I found either system to be a hassle so I purchased a sanding mandrel for each grit. Now I install the sandpaper and use it until it doesn't cut affectively then replace it. It's made my sanding pads and velcro last almost indefinitely.
