Sanding Tip
RPE
>I'm not one who usually possesses original thought. But today while sanding a Yellow cedar bowl, I might have had one!!
I had cut grooves in the outside of the bowl with my diamond parting tool. I needed to sand the grooves. I have tried to sand grooves before by folding sandpaper, but it didn't work well, and burnt sometimes.
So, I took the various grits of sand paper (I buy Klingspor bargain boxes, cloth backed) and tore off a thin strip (about a 1/4" or less) of sandpaper and twisted it into a rope.
I was able to sand the grooves really well, and the paper cut very well in the grooves.
This may be my greatest moment! So remember, when you ship internationally, you gota use FEDEX!
