Dogwood Bowl

>This spalted natural edge dogwood bowl is the largest dogwood bowl I have ever turned. It was 10.5 inches wide by 6 inches high. Finished with a mixture of tung oil, spar varnish, and turpentine, and then buffed with the Beal System. Comments welcomed.

>Hi Glenn.

I like both these pieces you got the natural edge heartwood/sapwood aligned well. I especially like the Dogwood.

Form wise they look good, though I'm not sure about the foot on the Dogwood bowl. In that photo it sort of looks stuck there. From another angle it might look more in keeping. So I guess maybe a round bottom would look good, or somthing different with the foot.

Cheers

>Thanks for your reply David, I appreciate your comments. It is to late for me to do any changes to either of these because they were sold shortly after I made them. If fact the first person that saw the dogwood bought it.
