Question about R&D Bandsaws

>I've made two purchases from them. Both were for several furniture band blades, 1/2" 3 TPI for myself and a friend. Prices quoted were Canadian, when I checked my Visa acct. I found that I was in fact charged at the Canadian fund rate which translated to "less" in US dollars. Both deliveries were quick. The blades perform more than adequately and based upon my overall experience I will definitely purchase from them again.

>I ordered 2 blades from them (industrial silicone). I thought shipping from Canada was kinda high but not R&D's fault. One blade broke at the weld the first time I used it and they replaced it at no cost, no questions, as soon as I notified them. I'd bet they will come through for you.

I just got off the phone with Bob Dearlove of R&D and will add my good report to yours regarding their service.

I had an issue with a furniture grade blade that broke after 3 hours of use. I returned the blade to R&D and they bumped the repair order up in priority so it could be included with another order I had pending. He also helped me clear up some confusion regarding sizes of accessories for my Shopsmith Bandsaw.

I found him to be professional, polite, knowledgeable, and agreeable. What started out as something that had me concerned, I am now pleased to say has me satisfied.

Thanks again for feedback. It gave me perspective on how to approach the issue and resulted in a positive outcome.

Now back to turning...
