>Guys, we need help. The server we are using for the chat wouldn't keep up last night. Many of you complain because you ask a question and it does not get answered. The problem is some of the inputs are being lost due to the server. I emailed Ellis this morning and he said the cure will cost a thousand bucks. I have challenged the flat work side to raise half and we'll raise the other half. WE need a special auction to raise $500. What do you have to contribute....time, classes, project, material, cash? I will start it off with a donation of a bowl, value $150. I'll post a pic shortly. Let's just DO IT!

They'll be ambrosia maple, apple, black cherry, white ash, and whatever else I can find.

Shipping will be $$ as they're gonna be heavy. Of course, they can be picked up at the 5 barns shindig.

>Ryan McMullen and I are donating 2 each Black Walnut, Black Cherry, and Boxelder to be sold as a set of 6 in the benefit auction. They will vary in thickness from just over 2" to between 4-6" and will vary in diameter. They will all be planed both faces, cut round, and anchorsealed. We will post photos tomorrow night after we finish prepping them.

We will cover the first $20 of shipping (USPS Parcel Post). Which just might cover it.

Once we get home and pick out the blanks, we will post an estimated value.

I have one pen blank available out of Chestnut wood. The wood came from siding that was on Paul Revere's house at the time he made his famous ride! Although it's a small piece of wood, it's a big piece of history!

Now I'll go look around and see what else I have.

>No joke folks. The chatroom broke down so badly Wed night that I could not respond to questions and stayed lost most of the time until things thinned out. It is a major problem with a relatively low cost solution and if we split it up it won't be bad at all. If I count correctly we are half way there already.....now if the flat side would get off there duffs......
