I love my 026. It is nice and light, and cuts all day long. And of course, if I need to do big stuff, I haul out the 046. ;-) If it is a lighter saw you are looking for, the 026 (or the 260 now)definitely fits the bill.

I put a 20" bar on mine, although the dealer I bought it from told me that weightwise it was perfectly blanaced with an 18" bar. I just bought a 16" bar for it because I have a lot of little brush size stuff to cut, and waving that 20" bar around for that stuff is no fun at all. You can buy different size bars for it, although there is a maximum recommended.

>Any Stihl dealer should be able to switch out chain bars for you. I recently purchased a Stihl 250. The dealer had versions with 16" and 18" bars in stock. I bought one with the 18" bar and was glad I did. The 260 is very similar with a slightly larger engine, and slightly heavier. I also looked at the older model 026 Pro and liked it a lot, but it was more $$$.

I pair a 14 inch electric with the 20 inch Stihl. For me, this has been a great combination that satisfies 95 percent of my needs (the other 5 percent of the time I wish I had a bigger Stihl with a 28-32 inch bar).
