Can anyone tell me what kind of tree has bark similar to honey locust but without the thorns.

>Osage Orange has vicious thorns. From personal experience. the sap on the thorns often causes a local allergic reaction like an ant bite. OO bark does not get as shaggy as locust and does have a fairly orangeish cast to it. Mulbery is also has orangeish bark but no thorns. it is somewhat shaggy on mature trees. Shagbark Hickory comes to mind as a possibility.
