Very nice curve you have going there. Keep it going right down to the bottom, without a foot. The only other thing I would suggest is to flare teh rim just a tiny bit more.

Very nice shape. I like the way you miniced the lines in the grain. I would make a very small foot and carry the shape of the grain down as far as you can. If you haven't already hollowed the piece I would make the opening smaller. Bill mentioned flaring the lip more and I agree.

>George, I suggest that if you can, make the flared rim a bit smaller and make a nice round curve to the rim. Keep the curve on the sides going to a small base, 1/3 the diameter of the vessel. This form doesn't want a foot.

As the others have suggested, I would continue the curve to the sides to a small base w/o a foot.

On the top, I would make the top curve accellerate quicker just above that grain "Eye" in the side, so that you can have a neck about 50% taller than the existing one, and make the neck about 1/2 the diameter of the vase body. As the other said - more flare to the neck.

Just my opinion. Otherwise a great start.
