Goblet Combining Clay/Wood

I'm turning the stems from cocobolo but would like to get a different wood as this one makes me cough too much. Yes, I wear a dust mask but not a real good one.
Skip, the potter, glued these with Gorilla glue and, as far as I know, they stuck.
