>Here is a hackberry bowl I made tonight. It is another very thin turning, being 4" in diameter, 1 1/4" deep, and just under 1/8" thick.

This one was a great challenge. I had to soak it in CA in order to keep it together while I turned it. Whew! It worked!

There is definitely good reason to be nervous. I have found turning thin to be very meticulous, but also very rewarding. It causes lots of oo's and ah's when people see it and that makes me feel really good.
