Anyone have saw buck plans

Harvey Bernstein (Philly)

>I've searched the archives and can't find anything on saw bucks. I know I've seen at least one post with one, but it was probably on the Pond, then again I'm feeble using any archive system.

Basically I want to make a knock-down saw buck. If anyone has a link or plans for one, I'd really appreciate it.

TIA, Harvey

>Harvey, I don't know if this is what you want, but I make one out of a 4X4 post. I cut it so that it is about 18 inches long, and put two 12 inch 4X4 cross pieces on it. I put it together with wooden dowels to keep my chainsaw from hitting nails when I am using it. It does't weigh much, and you can carry it anywhere, and lay it down beside the log you are going to cut into, then roll the log up on it. Then, start cutting away.

>Thanks for the reply Glenn. I actually need something on legs for the smaller logs because I'm not too good w/ bending. However, I am now going to Also make what you described for the big ones that I'd be crazy to lift. My 'log jaw' is great, but it does have it's limitations at times.

Thanks again,

Harvey
