Segmented turning book.

Bill MacLachlan

>My wife is a quilter and is intrigued by segmented turning. Which is good because I love the designs but do not think I would be patient enough for the set up.

Therefore, she is wondering if there are any good books that we can purchase for her to follow. I have downloaded a couple of the software programs but she would be more interested in the book right now to follow along with.

Thanks, Bill

>A real good book Segmented Turning: A Complete Guide by Ron Hampton. Amazon.com. I had a chance to look over at a recent woodturning meeting and found it to be very complete with lots of colored pictures. You can never have enough pictures. Good luck. Segmented turning and quilting do seem to have a lot in common.

>I have ron Hampton's book and it is excellent, however there are several mistakes and one must be careful when reading it. Also ck out several web sites for segmented turning which are fun to look at and very helpful. Curt Theobald has a good video on segmented turning.
