Can smell the shavings now...

>Hi there,
I've shown quite a few photos of bits I've turned over the last 9 weeks or so. However, none of them were turned in the last 9 weeks. Sadly I have been away from my lathe all that time. I return home for 5 weeks this weekend and I'm looking forward to starting it up again. Hopefully I won't have forgotten too much of what I learned at Christmas. I've certainly been thinking about it enough :o)
The April issue of Woodturning came out today, so I've been looking at all the nice pictures in there thinking about stuff to turn.
Here's the last few archived pieces, this Goblet was turned in Elm and finished with Friction polish.

This spinning top is turned from Hornbeam with friction polish again.
And spinning...
These two items have been put to shame by the awesome anniversary Goblet by Ron Sardo and those amazing tops by Keith Tompkins. Still they're a start :o)
As ever, any feedback greatly appreciated.
