>I have compared the blade I purchased with the blade that came with the riser blocks and they are the same, the blade that came with the riser blocks is 105in. also, and it will not tighten...there doesn't seem to be any pressure on the upper wheel, the release for the tension bar just pops open with finger pressure...it is like there is nothing putting pressure against anything to tighten the blade...Dennis

>I have a 14 in Grizzly with riser block and the blades I've purchased are 106". I just check the saw and at a normal tension it looks like the tension block could move up another couple of inches. I don't what could keep you from adjusting it but a couple of things I would check are:

1. Did they send you the correct riser. Mine is 4".

2. Is something stripped in the tension screw? You can check this just by seeing if you get full travel when adjusting it.

You might want to send Grizzly tech support an email. I've had better luck doing this as opposed to calling them.

Let us know the final resolution.

>Dennis, I experienced the same problem with my Griz BS. What you have to do is adjust the 2 stop blocks on the threaded shaft of the tensioning bolt. Loosen the setscrew on the lower block, which is the smallest one, just above the housing that contains the spring. If memory serves me, I had to move it about 1/4" or so, then adjust the top block, the larger one, some as well. This information came from the Tech Support at Grizzley. I installed the riser in my G0555 and I had the same problem. After about 30 seconds on the phone, I had the problem solved in another 5 or so at the BS. I inquired about why this information is not included with the Riser Kit, I was told they were working on getting that done. The fix is pretty obvious when you take a look at it, but it had me scratching my head too! Good luck Dennis!

>It was in fact the round black set screw objects for lack of better words, they do have to be set, and you would think that info would of come with the riser block kit, I knew that they had to move, but didn't realize that they turned on the shaft,they were just buggers to get to turn, but once I figured that out, the bulb in my head was big and bright..tks all....great group, always get the answer...Dennis
