turning class gloat

>Hey all,

Just wanted to gloat a little about a real informative turning class I took today at Bill Grumbine's shop.

It was a great & informative hands-on class.

I walked away with loads of good turning technique.

Bill was a pleasure to learn from. He was easy to understand and very patient. I found his pace for the class to be right on the money.

Bill has a great sense of humor and makes you feel real comfortable. There were just two of us being taught, which made it a very personalized class. I'm going to take a second class after April. Bill says he will custom taylor it to my needs.

What more could you ask for.

Thank you to the Grumbine family.

>I haven't taken a class from Bill, but I have hung around his place for a 5-barns picnic a couple of years ago. I am not sure that much was discussed that weekend except turning.

My opinion is that Bill Grumbine is probably one of the better turning instructors around.

As many are aware, being able to do something well and being able to teach someone else how to do it, are two very different things. Bill G. is good at both.

Just my opinion, I don't expect payment from Bill until sometime in July. 8^]

>Your commant is correct Jim. He does both really well. That is why I'm going back for another class. Besides working, Bill is a very good conversationist.

The class was full of woodturning talk, but the conversation was just as rewarding.

I can't wait to bring my family to the picnic. It should turn out to be a great time.
