OT - EBAY SAFETY

BEWARE - There are a number of scams that also appear to be emails from Ebay. These emails include a link to update your info and a comment that your Ebay activity can be suspended if you do not update the info. I just received one today saying I should verify my info (including SSN and credit card info) this would bet me a "Verify" icon that would go in my listings to show I was a verified ebay member. It appeared to be from their Safe Harbor department. It was not!!
DO NOT complete these requests. The links usually take you to a Ebay look-a-like page but it is not Ebay. IF the web page address starts with a number i.e. 211.20.3, etc. IT is NOT an Ebay page.
I signed in to Ebay directly and went to my preferences page. I could not find any "verify icon" option at all. And I looked at the selling page and found no way to add the icon either.
If unsure - forward the email to spoof@ebay.com and they will let you know if it is a scam.
Not affiliated with Ebay, just a satisfied user.
