>AM you have no hope. FM try a battery powered radio if it sounds clear then try a computer surge suppresser you want the one that weighs the most.(Isobar brand about 30.00) It will have the copper coils to suppress the noise. Plug the radio into a different circuit than the lathe with the suppresser.
