>Do any of you kind folk have any thoughts on the food friendliness of Alder?

I found a cabinet shop that will let me pick through their scrap pile. Now I have access to lots of small pieces that are well suited to the spatuals that Darrell Feltmate shows on his web page. I just don't know if that's a good project for Alder or not.

Thanks all,

Bert

>Bert,

I don't know about spatulas, but I've been using an alder cutting board since I got married 38 years ago and it appears that thing has caused me to be at least 25 lbs overweight!! I'd be careful of using Alder for cooking utensils..you might end up countin' calories or somethin.:)
