Its main value is in collecting sanding dust when sanding and diverting irritating dust away from the face when turning noxious woods. I don't see that it matters what lathe you use with it. The important thing is to get end of the collector hose close to where the dust is being generated. My solution is to attach a band clamp about ten inches from the end of the 4-inch collector hose. (More or less depending on the swing of your lathe.) I epoxied a rare-earth magnet to the band clamp. A half-inch magnet more than strong enough for this purpose. This allows me to position the end of the hose just about anywhere I like in the work area of the lathe. There are no hoods to adjust or get in the way. Good luck. Dennis

I have a 1 1/2 hp penn state 2 bagger and it does a good job with the bandsaw and the planer, but it is a 20 ft run to the lathe and it doesn't pick up muck sanding dust. The best dust control I've found for the lathe is a 20 inch box fan set up to draw air with a furnace filter on it.
