OT: Its a dogs life

Mike Schwing from Maryland

>I snapped both of these at different times today at the top of the same staircase. As I was taught a long time ago, tired dogs are not bored dogs. I wore them out in the woods this afternoon.

Just thought the two pics looked cute together.

>Hey Mike -

They're a couple of beauts. I'm a Golden Retriever guy myself, although one is enough for me. At least, one like the one I've got is enough for me. I snapped a smiliar shot of her when I was taking photos for my website - take a look.

>ALthough we love most breeds, my wife is allergic to long-haired dogs. So we have had poodles (no they do not have that weird poodle cut--Bear has too much self-respect for that!)

We were gone for 2 weeks recently, and he was at his kennel (his lordship has to be taken to a small kennel where the owners really take great care of the dogs---it's an hour's drive from our house!) The owner said that he stayed up late one night, and can report that Bear never sleeps. He is also the leader of the pack when it comes to barking, with the result that when he came home, he collapsed and slept like a log for several days, and when he first tried to bark, he was so hoarse he sounded like one of those squeaky toys. He is gradually getting his voice back!

We pet owners are a weird group, aren't we? At the kennel I saw a pillow that read "What part of WOOF do you not understand?"

>Great pic Mike. Wish I had a pic to post of my Goldens. Some day I'll do it...

Henry and Nellie. Ages 3 and 6. Goldens are great dogs aren't they?
