>Here are a couple of my latest efforts. The short one is yellow heart and the long one is sycamore. I thought the first was to short, so I tried the sycamore by drilling from both ends and adding a piece of barrel to the cap end. This handle is 4" long and it took two trys to get the holes lined up enough for the mandrel to go through. Any difference in the holes is not obvious with the way these things are assembled. Any suggestions on drilling longer, straight holes? I am using the 7mm drill that came with the pen kits. I am also going to order one of those bullet bits. I hope they will go straighter.
