Design Critique Please

>All three bowls ended in some type of disaster before they were finished. I will have to get a bigger barrel for my destruction bin.
The one on the left was too rotted at the base and kept pulling apart within the tenon. I tried to glue it twice. The middle one was nearing completion when I had a catch followed by another trying to fix a slight bulge in the outside after finishing the inside. Guess I should have sanded the thin wall considering the bottom photo. The on the right blew into three pieces with a catch and I glued it together to see if I could and sanded. Guess my user name should be Firewood To Firewood
All catches were with the 3/8 spindle gouge with a fingernail grin as from Sorby. That is why I have the previous post.
Ignoring the photo quality and the finish, am I on the right track for shape and form? With your critiques and Raffans design book I hope to improve.
Thanks, George
