In searching the various posts I see the Jet and Nova being the midi lathe of choice which of these two would provide me with more flexibility for bowl "and: spindle turning. I do want to stay in the midi range for cost and convenience purposes.
>If by midi, you mean the jet mini lathe versus the nova mercury than jet is the way to go. I don't think that nova is importing the mercury anymore. If you mean a Nova 3000 versus the Jet 1236 then there is no comparison. The Nova is a far heftier machine with much bigger swing.
