>A recent question about buying CA glue promped me to pass this along. Our local Vermont AAW chapter (The Woodchuck Turners of Northern Vermont) recently placed an order for CA, accelerator, and accessories that was $ 2.79 per 2 oz. bottle. We put together our needs as a club to meet the minimum order required to get CA at such low prices. The brand name is E-Z Bond, and the corporate name is K & R International.
We looked at buying 16-oz. or 32-oz. bottles and re-bottling it to save money (they sell many different bottles and tips), but it actually costs more to do this. Everyone who bought some had the same problem. The company replaced our order free. We'll see if the next batch is better. As far as the thin & thick goes, no problems whatsoever.

I tried ordering from them 2 different times, and on the first order the stuff arrived all stuck to the plastic packaging... it was a real mess... and the second batch went bad in less than a month...
Like most things, you get what you pay for....
If it works well I'd sure like to know, since that is about half of what I pay for my CA that I resell on my web site....
>$100 dollar minimum order. I have had no problem with the quality of this glue - I've used Craft Supplies, Highland Hardware, and some other, and it seems no different whatsoever. They also offer a super thin CA, which is really nice for hairline cracks that need a repair, or stabilizing. It's good glue for a really good price in my opinion.
Didn't mean to leave you hanging, Julie and Joe -- I've been working out of state and not checking this messageboard as often as I might.
I bought eight 2oz bottles of thin glue, and an 8oz bottle of accelerator for about $25.00. This was part of a big order placed by our funny-sounding club and a bowl-turning company where we meet (Woodbury's of Vermont).
They also offer the tiny capillary tips that are real handy for repairing a crack without staining the surrounding wood. My dad got some thick stuff and thin, and neither of us has had any problem yet (except gluing my hand to a wad of paper towels while attempting a CA finish, resulting in a burn on my finger tip !)
I'd like to hear from anyone who gets the black stuff, as I might look into that next time.
