I had heard that CA sets if spritzed with water... It apparently just skins over.

I'm in Charlotte as well. For thick or flexible CA, I buy it at Klingspors, just off of South Blvd. I usually order the thin CA from Ryan at the link below. Woodcraft in Matthews also carries it.

Get several of the removers and set them in several locations so you can easily reach them with one hand.

Also be sure to pre open them. I learned from experience that is tough to open the seal with one hand glued to a large bowl.

>Honestly, check your local yellow pages for Model Train Hobby Stores. There are several stores here that go under the Title "Hobby Shop" or "Hobby Supplies". They carry the exact same brands that Craft Supplies USA carries and they have the quickener too.

My mistake yesterday was using the CA without quickener as Dominic keenly observed ;-P (because I had ran out and money was tight). Which was my other lesson of the day - being in a rush is rushing towards a mistake.

I've not had to contact them, but I think this product reduces down to one the number of bottles of CA I need. It is sort of medium in appearance but goes well into fine cracks.

Since I've also survived a near miss I now take the cracked one off the lathe, dob it with glue, set it aside and then go to another turning task.

At our AAW branch there is some contention regarding some of the more common brands becoming brittle utilizing the speeder-upper accelerant.

But what do I know.
