Tapered Candle Holders

Chuck Ludwigsen

>Hi folks,

I've not posted much lately as I am remounting the motor on my old Buffalo lathe after the welded hinge broke off.

Here is a set of Mahogany tapered candle holders I made for my wife's friend. It was nice having my wife's help on the design. She has a good eye and brought out aspects of her friend's personality while we were choosing the shape, wood type, and finish. Things that should not be left out.

Enjoy and all comments and critiques welcome as usual.

Chuck in Memphis, TN. (temporarily not turning, but we will rebuild it, stronger, heavier, ...).

>Hi Chuck,

Those are great! I really like the shape you ended up with, they are very elegant looking. Nice looking finish as well. I always get really bad tearout with mahogany, but yours look great.

Great work,

Mike

Been a lazy weekend in Apex, NC

>I think your wife's friend will be delighted. (Gee, that doesn't seem like the right word!) very graceful form, Chuck.
