>I just got my Easy core the other day. I went to install it and I feel it might be defective. I first set the cutter height at center heigth of lathe with out the support finger. Then I put the support finger in and set it to where the bottom of the cutter is just touching the top of the post (start of cut). Then if I rotate the cutter, a gap opens and at end of cut the cutter height is now high and the cutter arm is no longer touching the support finger except at the very tip. It is open 1/8" over the post.
Is this common? I don't know I've never had one. It dosen't seem right to me.
