>I haven't posted anything here yet, but have started to be a bit more active, so I thought I would share a new piece I just finished:

This is a silver maple hollow form with a nice little bark inclusion. The lines were burned in with ebony and the red is Chestnut Spirit Stains. The piece is finished with 2 coats sanding sealer, sanded to 2000 and 2 coats of Antique oil. Hyper smooth feel! 4 1/4" tall x 5 1/2" dia...2" opening and roughly 1/8" thick.

This is the first piece in a series where I will be exploring colors in lines and such.

>Beautiful work Chris. I like the rim at the top, and the red stain. Where did you find the stain?

>Thanks Glenn. I got the stain(s) (I also got blue, yellow and green) from Craft Supplies. They are $9.99 for an 8 oz. bottle, which from my first attempt at it should last quite a while.
