>Here is my secondary tool rest for using a Jamieston style boring bar on a mini lathe. At first I thought it should be bolted to the stand but after using it I realized that if you have the boring bar set correctly, that is with the cutting tip on the center, then there isn't any torque so the secondary tool rest doesn't have to be rigid.
