Turned a bowl today - PICs

>I work on a 5/4 schedule and today was an off day. So, I planed some wood for drawers and turned a bowl; bowl #5.
At 8 3/8", this is the largest bowl I've turned so far. I have a Delta midi lathe, so I can not get much bigger than that.
I also tried out a wheel and bowl buffing system.

One thing I'm curious about, there seems to be a darker ring on the inside about 3/4" down from the top, and idea what that is?
Hope you don't mind me adding, I think the foot should be a bit smaller. It is a nice form but I think it should go in a bit more at the base.
