>hahaha, thanks Joel! You know, you did a great job when you were there, too! Now if we can just get John to convince our photographer to change from a blue background. :-)
>gosh I hate that Chris Stott has to follow me. He can turn a box in 1 minute. I can blow one up quicker than that. I had lunch with him once. He's a fun guy.
I forgot. I turned the lathe on one time and the piece flew off. I hadn't even touched it yet. Surely that's some sort of record. Not one to be proud of for sure.
>So you noticed that unh Joel. Remember when I asked last year for some demonstrator ideas? I think we have a great line up this year with some diverse topics being covered. I've even kept July and August open because Russ said he might make it out this summer. (Russ, I can't wait much longer, did you firm up your plans yet?)
>You might want to watch an old James Bond movie the night before Chris Stott's demo............ it'll give you a leg up on getting used to that Brit accent.
Seriously, he did an all-day demo in Nashville last year for the Tennessee Association of Woodturners and he was a hoot. Damn good turner, too! He really did a lidded box in about a minute. It takes me longer than that to find a piece of wood.
