>I asked about a finish for this cherry goblet and think I'll go with a Danish oil (thanks, Bill). This is the first goblet I have turned and I learned a few things.
1. Don't...DON"T...turn the stem before you completely finish and sand the top!!!
2. Captive rings are a little tricky, but not terribly tough to do.
3. Did I mention...Don't turn the stem down before finishing the top??
4. Have a willing subject hold that thing when parting from the base.
