Question about Beall buffs.

>What is the difference, besides the $3 price difference, between the 4" goblet buffs and the 4" bowl buffs? The picture in the catalog looks like the bowl buffs have individual shanks, but yet they are cheaper than the goblet buffs which screw onto a tapered mandrel.

>The goblet buffs are what Beall has been offering for quite some time. These are all linen (the coarsest of the three Beall materials) buffs with a stiff leather center that allows mounting to a tapered pigtail arbor (which must be purchased seperately).
The Bowl Buffs are the latest Beall offerings. They are usually available only in sets of three (for a given size) and dupicate the regular Beall wheels in having a linen buff for the Tripoli, a linen/cotten blend for the White Diamond, and a cotton flannel buff for the wax. They use the same 3/8 x 16 threaded bolt as the regular Beall wheels and so can be mounte directly to the Beall quick change adapter (or similar ones from Wood N Things or Houston) without need for the pigtail.
I have and like both of styles, but if I were purchasing more, I'd go with the Bowl buffs.
