>For you pen-turners out there, if you�ve ever used those pricy "stabilized" wood blanks, you know that they polish up nicely and make a beautiful pen. But, there's always some left over little scraps that are way too valuable to throw away...so, here's how I'm using mine (photo below).
From left (top) to right, here's what we have:
Stabilized and dyed curly Boxelder & Osage
Stabilized spalted Sycamore & Goncalo Alves
Stabilized Thura burl & Osage
Goncalo Alves & stabilized Olive
And just for grins...blended Polymer Clay
Each of these two-piece angled laminations are glued up using yellow glue and two clamps. It takes a little extra effort, but there's no waist.
