>I couldn't remember who was asking about putting woo around a steel tool handle the other day but I was going through my new Rockler catalog and they have pressure sensitive veneer. They also have what they call Superior flexibility veneer that's thicker than normal. This might be the solution.

>Another method may be to make a series of "donuts" slid onto the handle one after the other with glue between each one. Make wooden plugs to fit into each end of the handle, mount the handle on the lathe,between centers, then cut a series of beads between the donuts.
I also thought of routing a groove in two pieces, then sandwiching the handle between, that would work fairly well. (hi John)
