Plum Log cut question - pic
Bob Lemon - Sacramento,CA
>We have a nice supply of this plum wood and need to know how others would handle this wood. It came from a very large plum tree. These pieces are about 12 inches in diameter. We have other pieces that are about 18 to 24 inches in diameter. The tree had an upward spiral growth pattern. How can we safely cut this for the best grain pattern for turning and/or for lumber? Before you ask, you have to pay the freight on the wet logs! ;-) (This is not an offer for sale, just a comment.) Bob
