So is this good news or bad news?

>Yesterday I finished a 9.5" cherry bowl. I showed it to my wife and she said "Wow, this is nice... You know I need a bowl about this big." With her hands she showed me the size she wants - about 16".
In the past, whenever she had a project for me to build, it was understood that if I needed a new tool to help complete the work, I could go out and purchase whatever I needed. Over the years I built up a nice little shop. So when the opportunity came to turn a bowl that is bigger then my Jet 1236 can handle I quickly said "You know... I'll need a bigger lathe to do that for you". Notice how I tried to make it look like it was to her benefit.
Now, she bought me that lathe for Xmas 2002 and I've only been using this tool since August 2003. She gave me a look and without notice she changed the rules. She said "I need a pair of bookcases first".
For a few fleeting moments, I had visions of Poolewood, Oneway and Stuby dancing before my eyes. It was a beautiful dream that was quickly shattered.
It seems that I have to build these cases before I can buy a new lathe!
That means I have to stop turning until the cases are finished!
I have it bad. I need help!
