Better lube for ways?

>I've tried Johnson's Paste Wax, TopKote (spray), and am currently using the no-no for flat work - auto wax (paste -- Turtle Wax). Don't figure there's going to be any meaningful contact with the workpiece for the silicon to be an issue.
What do you use to protect/lube your lathe bed/banjo/tail stock?
Anyone tried anything like a teflon product or different kind of auto wax?

>chain lube on my tools gears and screw jacks. It don't hold dirt and sheds moisture just like it was meant to do. Waiting to hear what others use.

>Water. Wet oak shavings. Anything to rust the ways. The Jet 1236 is known for tailstock creep, so the rust helps a great deal.
Now, for my DVR, that's a different story entirely! I just use WD40. Cleans, lubes, protects.

>Reniassance wax on the ways. It helps protect against rust and provides a slick surface. I use it on all my cast iron surfaces.
