Turned it and broke it

It was another candlestick, turned from mahogany. I got a little fancy and turned the walls of the cup (where the candle goes) fairly thin. After I took it off the lathe, it looked nice so I thought I would put a candle in it -- the diameter of the candle I picked turned out to be a hair greater than the diameter of the cup, so I forced it in, and all of a sudden CRACK! Oh well, teach me to have a little more patience next time.

>Jeremy,

Next time just chuck up the candle between centers and make it fit. :)

No problems, failure is just part of the process.

Best wishes,

Dave
