Any turning events in SF/LA late Jan/early Feb?

I'm going to be in the San Francisco area from Jan 22 to about Jan 27, and then in LA from about Jan 29 to Feb 3.
Is there anything going on in woodturning in and around these places--meetings, demos, exhibitions, classes, etc? While I will have some obligations to fulfil, I will have free time available.

>The LA-area WoodWorks show will be at the Ontario Convention Center Jan. 30 thru Feb. 1. I got a flier in the mail for it yesterday. The turning demonstrators include Russ Filbeck, Petter Herud and Harry Memelink. A 3-day pass is $10 at the door. More info should be available at www.woodworksevents.com.
The flier I received also described a "special pre-event program" called the Whole Earth Turning Conference, to take place Jan. 29-30. It's supposed to have "32 hours of demonstrations, choose from 16 - 2-hour sessions." The flier refers folks to the website for more info.
