AAW Journal Article

Scott Greaves, Blackfoot Idaho

>Hi Everybody! By now you all are aware that I wrote a couple of penturning articles that appeared in the current issue of the Journal of the American Association of Woodturners, The American Woodturner. This magazine is hard to find if you do not belong to the AAW. I was able to get some extra copies for some of the people that were interested, and hopefully I encouraged some others to join the AAW so they could get their own.

But this left a lot of people who were not able to read the articles because they didn't have access to the magazine. I asked the Editor of the magazine if he could check with the AAW Board, and see if I could post a reprint of the articles on a web page. Thankfully, they agreed, for the first time ever, to allow this. Here is the link:

On another issue, this will also serve to introduce a new penturners site that fellow penturner, Jeff Brown, and myself have been working on. We are still just getting this put together, so it is pretty raw, but if you want to take a look, here's a link to the portal page:

Happy New Year to you all! Turn a pen for a friend today!

>Great articles and great feature overall. I think it deserved being on the web as a sample of the magazine's content and quality, and samples of very artistic pens.

Thank you for your efforts in getting it done!
