Stanley 750 chisel documenting
I'm going thru my chisel inventory and came across a chisel I restored and sharpened. Marking was stanley, no model on 2nd line, is this a 720 ?

As far as I know, the 720s were just a longer version of the 750s. More of a paring chisel as opposed to a butt chisel or general bench chisel. I have seen on various fine old tool sites (Super tools, Jim Bode, etc.) that Stanley didn't always mark the model number on the chisels. I suppose it's possible that some unmarked tools that folks assume to be 750s started life as 720s and were just ground back to the length that the 750s started with.
