You will get plenty of adhesion from the biscuits. They swell when you glue them in, and might crack the MDF. Takes a few minutes to do the test, and would probably be fine so long as the pieces are firm enough around the biscuits. So one can put double bicuits in 3/4 material but they are near the surface, that might not work kind of thing in a material like MDF, or if they were too far off center.

When milling a lot of biscuit slots it produces a lot of dust, for what one might think one would get. MDF is pretty nasty for dust, though a lot of jointers can be extracted. I take mine out of doors, and I rarely use MDF anyway.
