Plane "Handing"? *LINK*

>I have both Lie Neilsen #95s - the right hand and left hand. Same with the #140s. I am right handed, yet I find the "left handed" versions far more functional. I can see the work better and they just feel better.
Question - when they say "right handed" does that mean it is intended for right hand users or does it describe something else about the plane?

>I too am right handed and have both a 98 & 99. Not only do I use both depending on which side of a dado I wish to work without moving position, but I also change from pushing to pulling as well. The reason for changing from pushing to pulling is that I keep one of the planes adjusted for a paper thin cut and the other for a heavier cut.

My question primarily relates to the naming of the plane. If they say it is "right handed" does than mean it is for right handed people, or for the right side of the workpiece (or something else not related to holding it in the right hand). Again, the "left handed" #95 and #140 I have work better in my right hand than the ones labeled "right hand".
