When we moved to Sonoma County, Healdsburg was a farm town, but it's gotten quite chi-chi over the last decade. Way too pricey for me.

Interestingly, though, there are still some nice old businesses up there - for instance, one of the best, if not the best, lumberyards in the county, to which I go only when I can't get it locally because it's more like 45 minutes away for me, but at which I know I can depend for specialized stuff, like the siding for our house, recently purchased there for the kitchen remodel. Their stuff is still 3/4", rather than the pitiful 5/8" of other yards.

>They have a few of my pieces in there.I'm biased but I think it is a very nice gallery. The owners are very proffesional and nice to work with. Not sure what is on display because they move things in and out a various time to keep things fresh. If your in there ask which pieces are mine and they will be happy to show you, they enjoy having woodworkers come in and browse and have also hosted a meeting of the Sonoma County Woodworkers there.
