Maybe if I pry one of the windows open I can get inside,work my way to the door,move things around enough to open it,drag some stuff out into the driveway and find it.

Come to think of it,maybe I can find the cat while I`m at it.Haven`t seen her since she last disappeared into the "treasures".

Maybe instead of the window trick if I just stood in front of the door and shouted "Open Sessamee"...

>This actually won't win, as it is not truely messy, but more along the lines of normal use clutter. I am in process of making a french cleat. Simply planing a 45 degree bevel on two lengths of 2x4 for a quick knock-up box to hang on the side of my tool stand so my cat Tough Guy can get on top of it.

Probably not the messiest, but maybe I get points because the size of the working area is so pitiful.

So what am I doing with this little workbench? Building a bigger one, that will be 24" by 3-4 feet. It will serve as medium sized workbench for now, but ultimately will be a dedicated sharpening station. This is what it looks like now -- just a bunch of legs and stretchers:

I'm using my pitiful workbench to build a medium sized workbench, and then I'll use that one to build my "real" workbench. This is what my "real" workbench looks like right now:

It's mainly a bunch of Douglas fir 4x4's right now, with a few straight grained 2x10's I found, all waiting to be used, but eventually it will be a workbench.

Part 2 - extra credit?

The clothes, by the way, are not because I'm being asked to sleep outside - those are the crawling-under-the-house clothes, kept out there because LOML doesn't like the odor and dust.

And here's me who absolutely goes bonkers if at the end of the day I don't put everything back into it's place. A place for everything, and and everything in it's place is my mantra.

One a serious note tho, and not to be taken as a slam, messy shops in my opinion are dangerous, which the #1 reason I try to keep mine tidy.
